a tribute to the "city of all"

The city of mumbai whose lifelines are trains,
was washed away by violent rains.

Mumbai is truly incredible,
but the rains were very terrible.

The death tolls rising day by day,
send some rains here is what we chennaites pray!!!!!!

The water level was upto the head,
the phone connections were also dead

It was a very terrible day,
the slums were totally washed away.

The situation literally forced,
to keep the schools and colleges closed

The Arabian sea was with high tides,
Andheri was affected by landslides.

Many vehicles were totally drowned
and hundreds of dead bodies were then found

There was no transportation,
this was a very painful situation

The airport authorities were alerted
as a result many flights were diverted

The city observed heavy traffic jam
but the people provided as much help as they can

water water everywhere, all the vehicles did sink,
water water everywhere, not a drop to drink.

the city heard many cries
but the "spirit of mumbai"never dies

wada-pav stalls back on road,
passengers are back on board.

but mumbaikars are workaholic
mumbai is back with fun and frolic

trains are now back on track
courage is not what mumbaikars lack.

oh my dear mother nature,is this your play?
to keep people sometimes sad or else gay?

wounds of the blasts or struggle with the floods ,we forget lest,
a city where service to the people has become a jest.

but floodshed or bloodshed
mumbai remains the best

coz' for me and most of u'll it is alwayz"AAMCHI MUMBAI"
